It was so great to see some of the people that I miss so much!<br /><br /><br />I stayed with Karen and her beautiful family. We decided to go visit "Mystery Spot" since it is supposedly so much better than Gravity Hill. Not too good for six hours. Luckily, my friend Tony works at best buy and got me a great deal on a new stereo for my car. This is the golden gate bridge ... the first time I passed it.<br /><img src="http://www.omegawd.com/lj/amy/norcal5.jpg" alt="golden gate bridge - first time" /><br /><br />My grandparents told me to take 19th avenue all the way across, so when I saw this sign,<br /><img src="http://www.omegawd.com/lj/amy/norcal9.jpg" alt="bad sign" /> <br />I failed to notice the "S" indicating that it was going south, not north! I left at 4 in the morning (so early!) and followed my grandma out past frisco. No getting lost this time! (don't worry she was going that way anway, i swear!) It was perhaps the first time I had seen the sunrise all summer.<br /><img src="http://www.omegawd.com/lj/amy/norcal16.jpg" alt="sunrise" /><br /><br />Thinking I was past all harship half way home on the 5, I was startled when suddenly my car engine stopped. So, I coasted to the edge of the road and went to call someone, only to find out .... I had no service (thank you, AT&T). So I walked to the call box (luckily not too far away). Twenty minutes later, a nice tow truck showed up to charge me $150 to tow my car to the nearest auto repair shop. <br /><img src="http://www.omegawd.com/lj/amy/norcal17.jpg" alt="repair shop" /><br />$65 and an hour later, I was once again on the road.
